The Standard First Aid + CPR “C” + AED course provides comprehensive CPR training for general public interest or workplace requirements. Students will learn CPR techniques for adults, infants and children and are taught using appropriately sized manikins for individual practice. Additional topics include Emergency Scene Management, recognition of cardiac arrest and stroke, choking and automated external defibrillation (AED) as well as basic first aid techniques.
Each student will receive a St. John Ambulance First Aid Reference Guide with over 400 pages of information and full colour illustrations. A provincially recognized certificate which meets WSIB and Canadian Labour Code certification, valid for three years, is issued upon successful completion. Annual retraining in CPR is recommended and required in some industries.
